‘Belvoir Angels’ are Swithland slate gravestones made by an unknown stonemason family between 1690 and 1750. They are found around the Vale of Belvoir and are distinctive in their naive lettering and stylistically carved Angel with downturned wings.
The Belvoir Angels Society have recorded over 320 headstones across the Vale of Belvoir and are discovering more all the time. Please use the keyword search above or the categories below to view details in our current database.
